Test reports of the servo cables

Discover all our test reports on the durability tests for our servo cables here.

Servo cable CF21.25.15.02.02.UL

Test number:3841
Bend radius:100mm (factor 6.1 x d)
Service life:54 million strokes
In this test, the life expectancy of the CF21.25.15.02.02.UL was to be analysed in an e-chain with a 100mm radius. The test has shown that the expected service life of the CF21.UL servo cable is 54 million strokes.

Use of the CF21.UL in practice

Wood dust and swarf are common in the furniture industry. These conditions can be found particularly when woodworking machines are used. They are characterised by a high versatility of machining functions: milling, drilling, sawing. All these machines use drive systems and with it servo cables. When it comes to tight installation spaces or long travels on gantries, the construction with an inner jacket is the guarantee of reliability.

Servo cable CF270.UL.100.01.D

Test number:4853
Bend radius:55mm (factor 7.0xd)
Service life:22 million strokes
This test was carried out to analyse the life expectancy of the CF270.UL.100.01.D in an e-chain with a 55mm radius.
This has shown that the expected service life of the single core CF270
can withstand 22 million strokes.

Use of the CF270.UL.D in real life

The aim of the test was to determine the service life of the servo cable in the energy chain. The CF270 is a so-called "spindle cable". This type of single-core cable is used in high-performance turning centres or CNC machines, for instance. In both examples, the energy supply is a challenge, as the applications sometimes require the creation of high-precision and very complex moulds. In addition, the cable on such machines is located directly on the workpiece and must therefore be resistant to metal chips and, above all, the oils used. Thanks to the PUR outer jacket, this cable fulfils these criteria and can also guarantee fail-safe use thanks to its tested service life.

Servo cable CF29.25.15.02.01.D

Test number:5034
Bend radius:100mm (factor 7.2 x d))
Service life:45 million strokes
In this test, the life expectancy of CF29.25.15.02.01.D in an e-chain with a 100mm radius was to be analysed. The test showed that the expected service life of the servo cable CF29.25.15.02.01.D is 45 million strokes and has no problems with very cold temperatures down to -35°C.

Use of the CF29.D in practice

Cables from the CF29.D family are frequently used in storage and retrieval units, or SRU for short. There, they are used in the mast's hoist. High dynamics and cold environments pose major challenges for the components used. They must last permanently at extremely low temperatures, for example in cold stores.
