Test reports for data cables

Discover all our test reports on the durability tests for our data cables here.

Data cable CF240.PUR.02.18

Test number:4221
Bend radius:75mm (factor 8.5 x d)
Service life:30 million strokes
In this test, the life expectancy of the CF240.PUR.02.18 in an e-chain with a 75mm radius was to be analysed.
The test showed that the expected service life of the CF240.PUR data cable is 30 million strokes, meaning that the cable can also withstand high mechanical loads over the long term.

Use of the CF240.PUR in practice

Various requirements are placed on machine tools. They must be sufficiently durable, among other things. In addition, the economic efficiency of each individual machine must be ensured. Component service life is decisive here. The new control panels for machine tools are more powerful than before, slimmer, and often freely movable. Since they are used in harsh industrial environments, a robust supply cable is important. This usually requires a data cable with a high-quality shield.

Data cable CF298.05.04

Test number:4932
Bend radius:18mm (factor 3.1xd)
Service life:54 million strokes
In this test, the life expectancy of the CF298.05.04 in an e-chain with an 18mm radius was to be analysed. The test showed that the expected service life of the CF298.05.04 data cable can withstand 54 million strokes and can reliably transmit safety-relevant signals even in the smallest installation spaces.

Use of the CF298 in practice

Reliability and safety are key aspects when it comes to the topic of train or rail. Railway technology is subject to strict safety requirements and harsh environmental conditions. One example is the safety strips on the doors on trains. There, the very tight installation space is a challenge for the cable, as it is heavily stressed.
