Robust cable guidance systems for cantilever and drill floor skid at sea

The requirements for safe cable guidance along the movable cantilever skids and drill floor skids are extremely stringent. Our "heavy duty" energy chains, cables, and accessories for the offshore industry are therefore specifically designed for moving high additional loads and large hose and cable packages. The robust plastic energy chains are particularly effective at sea, where their resistance to corrosion and low dead weight are particularly impressive when compared to those of steel chains or festooning systems. The fact that the chains require no lubrication or maintenance ensures reliable cable guidance and high planning reliability and reduces running costs. We offer cable routing as a turnkey system solution together with engineering, project management, and on-site assembly and acceptance.

Success stories

Cantilever with energy chain

The plastic energy chain carries a cable weight of 200kg/m

Plastic energy chains for the heavy duty sector were installed on this 3000HP modular offshore drilling rig on the cantilever and the drill floor skid. They carry an additional load of 200kg/m on a travel of 17.5m or 8m. The advantages here were the low weight with high stability.
