Cable in the box – save immediately with chainflex® CASE

CFCASE Stefan Zeis, Maintenance, BSH Hausgeräte, Sales Consultant Markus Marienfeld and Max Herrmann, Regional Product Manager chainflex, both from igus. (from left)
In his search for an alternative to the usual cable mounting, Stefan Zeis, Maintenance Manager at the BSH plant in Bad Neustadt, came across our new chainflex CASE. Your cable is reeled onto a special spool in the length you require, which is located in a 50x40x50cm box . It can be reeled off immediately. The stackable box can be stored immediately, saving space. Each box is marked with a QR code and the customer's designation, which can be used to identify and reorder the cable. Thanks to the box, delivery now takes place via the parcel service, which reduces costs even further. In the BSH example, savings of up to 84% on shipping costs could be achieved. Completely convinced by this concept, BSH maintenance engineers are now planning to switch completely to the innovative solution.

Profile

  • What was needed: a modern solution for precisely reeling off the right length of cable without waste, avoiding packaging material, saving time, improving the storage situation.
  • Requirements: the cables required were estimated by the maintenance engineer and reeled off with a safety allowance in the warehouse - usually with wastage through clippings. BSH was therefore looking for a solution that would minimise waste and time lost through unpacking and rolling onto drums.
  • Industry: household appliances
  • Success for the customer:
    • no waste
    • Save up to 84% on shipping costs by shipping via parcel delivery service
    • Save time and packaging material through easy handling and space-saving storage
    • Over 17% saving on variants due to double stocking
